MEET PATRICK NEELEY

Patrick is a Licensed Registered Forester #1696 in Alabama. His career has spanned many different roles upon graduation from Auburn University in Forestry Operations in 1995. His first professional job was with one of the largest forestry consulting firms in Alabama, Sizemore & Sizemore. His job description varied throughout his tenure from timber inventory work to managing large Inventory crews that traveled the Southeast conducting timber inventories for most large industrial landowners, timber investment firms, and small private landowners. In early 1998 the position of Forester was offered by his hometown paper mill Jefferson Smurfit in Brewton. With the opportunity to travel less and gain more rounded experience with wood flows he accepted and relocated to Greenville, Alabama as a Forester. Over the next 7 years many changes occurred through mills selling of their lands and putting in place open market wood delivery system’s where wood was procured from wood suppliers and purchased directly from landowners. These changes came with a new title, Area Supervisor and a more streamlined approach to wood purchasing.

Once the “dust” settled and wood flows became consistent He looked for a different challenge. This would lead him to partnering in a small wood dealership In Greenville, Alabama. They grew this dealership from a small player to a company with several sister companies that extended into logging and industrial supplies to facilitate loggers in the area. After several years, a buyout was negotiated with his partner and Patrick relocated to Tallapoosa County, Alabama and subsequently into another role as Owner of Alabama Timber Resources.

Patrick’s current work activities have him procuring wood primarily in Shelby, Chilton, Coosa, Talladega and the Northern edge of Autauga Counties, of Alabama. Should you need assistance in Forestry, please don’t hesitate to contact Patrick for your Forestry needs.
